UCL: Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus faces injury scare after stunning performance against Sevilla

Just after his heroic performance in Arsenal’s 2-1 win against Sevilla, Gabriel Jesus faces another injury scare, and now in contention for upcoming games.

He limped off the pitch while holding his hamstring, saying that he felt something.

Speaking after the game, Gabby said;

“I felt something. Let’s see… I have a scan but I’m pretty sure it will be nothing. I did some tests with the physio, it looks not that big, but let’s see,” Jesus said.

The Brazilian forward scored a jaw-dropping goal for Arsenal in their win in Spain on Tuesday evening but appeared to suffer a knock in the 80th minute.

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his fear during a post-match interview. He said,

“He felt something in his hamstring so let’s see.

“He straight away asked to be subbed which is not good news because he’s not a player that does that at all. We’ll have to wait and see in the next few days,” Arteta added.

Jesus recently returned from a knee injury that kept him out of the opening two games of the Premier League season.

Since his return, he has been a boost to the Gunners, scoring four goals and providing one assist in 11 games.
